The Evening Watch
Date: Thursday 21st January 2016, 19.30
Location: St. Mary-le-Bow, City of London
Reverie presents an evening of 20th century music inspired and influenced by ancient chant. While in Durufle’s Quatre Motets sur des themes Gregoriens and Pizzetti’s Requiem Gregorian chant is quoted directly, the influences of folksong and chant in Vaughan Williams’ Mass in G Minor are more subtle, but no less significant. These pieces are interspersed with extracts of solo voice chant by Hildegard von Bingen, and a new piece by Ben Rowarth: The Evening Watch.
Join us in the beautiful City venue of St. Mary-le-Bow, for a powerful and thought provoking concert.
Tickets available from TicketTailor. Student Discounts available.
